Meeting Called To
Order at 7:34pm. Wharton received telephone call from Locher at 7:32pm advising
he would be late as he was printing off variance information for Bair. Meeting
started thereafter. No recorder.
041008 Miutes – Motion
by Vereb/2nd Osborn to approve the Minutes of the 041008 Zoning
Meeting as presented, vote taken, all in favor, motion carried.
Old Business:
Moats:
nothing. Wharton notes
she checked municipal court website prior to meeting tonight and there was no
update, therefore sent email to Michelson (cc’d all
Zoning members) re status of matter.
115 Clovercliff: nothing.
117 Clovercliff: nothing, Narragon
notes up for Sheriff Sale.
54 Willowood:
firewood too close to the road cleaned up and then on 050508 another load was
dumped, Olexa had talk with him last night and advised it needs to be away from
road, there have been complaints and owner stated he would speak to individual
dumping the wood. Locher to keep eye on this situation.
Symes/Blatchford: Symes
apologized for not being present at last meeting for variance presentation. He
requested time to speak to Board. Wharton advised that appeal would be to
council although he was welcome to speak to Zoning – that decision had been made. He presented “monologue” in writing to
Zoning. Then proceeded to discuss its contents. Bican
advised our concern was length of deck from the house to the road and height. A
copy of the Zoning Minutes recently approved provided to Symes.
Narragon stated there was concern about the number of
feet from the road the deck had to be and was there a difference from the center line of road to the end of the blacktop and the
Village right of way?
747pm Locher arrives – recorder on.
Advised
Symes that building has to be 20’ back from the
Village right of way.
Others are out of compliance now because they were built
in earlier times before the current zoning requirements. Dodaro questions why
it is a concern when he has the house for sale. Blatchford provided drawings
for review and discussion. Symes advised that they
want to live there with a deck like they want it to enjoy the lake and if they can’t have it it will be for sale.
Symes thanked zoning for their time. He will present
his appeal to Council next week at the meeting.
Bair/Gillipsie: 402 Craggy Creek – application for variance
filed for additional 3 feet in length onto S side of deck/porch. Locher worked
on, Michelson advised variance would be required. Letters to adjacent
homeowners sent, no response. Motion by Vereb/2nd
Osborn to approve the request for variance to add an additional 3’ to the S
side of the existing porch, no closer to the road, vote taken, all in favor,
motion carried.
Junk vehicles:
Locher reports all removed except for 444 Craggy Creek. He served Resnick at
Dodaro got a
complaint about an unlicensed car in the drive on Craggy Creek. Narragon states there are vans in the driveway and you
cannot see the plates.
New Business:
Locher – there is
gravel down at 289 Briarwood that is being parked on,
he sent warning letter to remove the gravel.
Fetheroff at Heather Hedge – pavers – they are
parking on and said they would not – just wanted to put pavers in to prevent
soggy lawn from rain runoff. Locher to discuss with them and advise they cannot
park on it. If they continue to do so we will require
the removal of the pavers with grass replacement.
Motion by Vereb/2nd
Wharton to adjourn the meeting, vote taken, all in favor, motion carries,
meeting adjourned at 822pm.
