Old Business

Moats: nothing.

115 Clovercliff: owners working on it.

117 Clovercliff: now on MLS at $49.5k.

Ciccolini trash: Locher drove by and saw nothing, so no letter sent.

54 Willowood: Owner did not accept certified mail so Locher posted letter on door on 041008, he has until 4/24/08 to move firewood.

Locher personally served junk vehicles letters to 473 Shorefield, 443 Northvale and 271 Rustic Rook (tires). 429 Northvale Owner lives at 6131 Lake Rd – Locher will try to serve him there (Resnik) – tree stumps (vacant lot).

New Business

Gillespie: 402 Craggy Creek, Owners Jan & Joy Bair, application for permit to extend the porch, put new floor over old floor, take out windows and walls to open it up, not changing shape. Locher to check out tonight and issue permit.

Symes: Beachside Blvd. application for variance for front deck. Plans presented. Bican concerned that existing steps to the road is approximately 14’ and the drawing shows 11’9” from the edge of the road. Discussed stepping down 2 steps and building up the ground so no rail is required. Concern about being able to see past the deck when stopped at the stop sign on Bass Bay. Another property on Heather Hedge is 10’ from the road and another 9’ per Bican who measured all. Bican concerned about height by the road and how far the deck is coming out. Blatchford stated he could drop it down 2 steps and shorted it up to 11’7” at its farthest point keeping the same angle of the road. Vereb and Osborn are concerned it is coming too far out and suggest 8’ is enough. Obsorn states with 2 steps down (16”) and stopping at the end of the step (10’ out). Bican states if he lowers it to 14” (2 steps down from the front door) and comes out 9’4” with stone wall on outside, steps off side of deck. Olexa states he would be okay with that. Motion by Bican/2nd by Vereb to approve a variance for the deck to come down approximately 14” (2 steps from front door) and out no more than 9’4” from the foundation to the end of the deck with the same arc, side steps, stone wall on outside no more than 2” above the deck, without a rail if <30” and with small plantings in dirt beds in front – vote taken, all ayes, motion carried. Symes still need to redo the plans according to the variance granted and submit along with check.

Dodaro questions whether or not a permit is required if a shed is placed in back yard that is not permanently affixed if 2” from property line – answer per Locher – no.

116 Clovercliff: resident complaining of water in front yard, Reidel visited and told him to clean out the culvert pipe, out swale would put water to neighbor, people driving through have destroyed it. Zoning needs to enforce no parking in yard and that would solve the problem.

Question about boat trailers sitting in front yard – no current ordinance. Suggestion that we look at this. Locher to ask Michelson about possible solutions – i.e. parking in side yards only? This would present problem for property owners without side yards.

Motion by Vereb/2nd by Osborn to adjourn the meeting, vote taken, all in favor, motion carried and meeting adjourned at 8:37pm.
