Motion by Vereb, 2nd by Osborn to approve the 12/4/07 Meeting Minutes as corrected (Clovercliff residence denoted as 117 should be 115 on page 2), all in favor, motion carried, 12/4/07 Minutes approved as corrected.

7:47p.m. Locher arrives, recorder on.

Old Business:

Kissling: Beachside Blvd. garage – Locher has checked the property one time since last meeting and has taken updated photos, the siding is on, no landscaping will be completed until the soil settles.

Schmitt: nothing.

Moats: Lee Lore common driveway – Locher reports that Michelson is in the process of filing charges against Christy Moats.

James: Beachside Blvd. addition per variance – no building has started to date.

Byers: Briarwood Blvd. fence variance – Locher has drawing which is in compliance with the discussion from the last meeting, Locher did not ask Michelson if Byers had to pay the variance fee again, he will do so tonight and contact Byers. Byers reviewed the drawing prepared by Locher and is in agreement with the dimensions. Locher personally delivered the letters to adjacent residents advising them of the request for variance, he has heard nothing. Motion by Vereb, 2nd by Wharton to approved the variance request by Byers to redo his pool fence from wood to vinyl brining it approximately 1 foot closer to the right of way, all in favor, motion carries to approve the request for variance.

Symes: Beachside Blvd. addition - nothing.

Heffelman: 171 Rockridge trash cans – case heard in court and the Village won, $50 fine issued, Cathy Osborn believes it was paid. Reidel asks about the lawnmowers sitting out, Olexa has discussed with Michelson who advises it is difficult to get people to put lawnmowers in places other than their yards. Perhaps an ordinance re: lawnmowers is necessary. Reidel states that there are cars on trailers o Clovercliff and one residence has 7 riding mowers sitting out. Olexa to discuss further with Michelson and propose solution.

115 Clovercliff – abandoned house – Locher sent letter to the Bank to board up the property within 30 days, if they do not act, the Village will and will bill the Bank. Naragon provides documentation from the auditors website allegedly showing the owners names, Locher advises a bank owns it per the court of common pleas. It is believed that the former owners are in jail. There are no liens on the property. Complaints also on 117 and 118 Clovercliff. Naragon advises that 117 is on the list for the upcoming Sheriff’s sale. 118 has sinkholes. Cathy Osborn states that the properties are in shambles and action needs to be taken as quickly as possible.

New Business:

Reidel: questions Board on whether he will need a zoning permit to redo his flat roof on the garage to one with angle from house. Advised that he will need building permit per Locher.

Cathy Osborn states she is unable to ascertain whether or not liens placed on properties in the Village are ever paid. Wharton suggests she contact the auditor’s office for a breakdown of monies reimbursed the Village so that she can properly account.

Motion by Wharton, 2nd by Osborn to adjourn the meeting, vote taken, all in favor, meeting adjourned at 8:07p.m.
