Pam and Bob Williams presented their ideas about
establishing a “Chippewa Lake Beautification Project. They are suggesting that the village use
The Williams are also volunteering their time and talents to redo the property at the entrance of our village on briarwood blvd. They are able to get some materials at a no cost or low cost. They are hoping to get some items donated by residents if possible. I gave them the go ahead to spend up to 200.00 to get this projects started. They talked about some of the ideas they have and will be submitted a plan.
We will look into getting the water turned on at that site so plants can be watered.
The Williams also talked about the possibility of residents “adopting a site” to care for so that planted areas can be maintained.
Bob asked if we could have a large willow stump removed from the point park before it attracts a bee’s nest or something else that might be hazardous. I will call Bill Zweifel to have this removed.
Since the bungalow bay park will not be torn up this summer with maintenance of storm sewers, we decided to go ahead with plans to have the emperors of swing back this summer for another concert.
The dead boxwood bushes on the circle were also discussed. We are trying to be cautious in regards to spending money on this park as the county will be eventually repairing pipes in that area. We will have Stallard remove the dead bushes so they can fill in.
Kellie Olexa has agreed to accept a position on the boat ramp committee and also distribute boat stickers, beach passes and resident hangers. We decided to continue with beach permit cards for vehicles as we have in the past. We will need to set up a date for the village to distribute these things. Hank Waite has also agreed to serve on the boat ramp committee. Both members who resigned (Lori Smitley and Brent Osborne) have been replaced.
Will arrange for sand to be delivered to the beach.
